Skibbel is free to use and supports multiple media chat options, from text and photo exchange to cam2cam chats. You'll also meet people from all over the world. However, the interface is riddled with ads, most of your partners are guys or bots, and you can't reliably filter for female profiles.
Skibbel is a bit barebones, but sometimes you don’t need much to have an enjoyable experience. It markets itself as a free and anonymous sexting app, which is basically true. You don't need to make an account or pay to access any features. However, this means that most of the userbase is horny men looking to meet women, and there's a ton of advertising. If these aren't dealbreakers for you, this cam site might be right for you.
The premise of Skibbel is simple. You put in a few basic details, like your gender, age, who you're looking for, and a short message. From there, you enter the roulette system. You'll be quickly matched with a potential partner with whom you can share videos, photos, voice recordings, and text messages. If you don't like the person or the conversation dries up, simply leave the conversation and start another one.
It's an intuitive process that can yield big rewards. Like most anonymous chat sites, it helps if you like meeting men, as they will be the overwhelming majority of your chat partners, even if you tell the site you're only looking for women. You can also delete your 'profile' at any time, which should wipe any identifying cookies used by the site.
One-on-one conversations are the only type of chat available on Skibbel. They can go in any number of directions, though. Some people want to jump right into mutually sharing cams, whereas others want to share media or text for a while. All options are supported and available, so it's really up to the two of you to decide what will be the most fun.
The video quality is decent on this sexting app. It should be seamless to use for both parties, and it should be mostly HD. Of course, you're at the mercy of whatever camera equipment your chat partner uses, so you might encounter the occasional low-quality stream or laggy connection. But even that can be mitigated by sending photos or files instead, so there shouldn't be much of an issue for the average user.
Skibbel's model variety is a mixed bag. On the one hand, you’ll encounter people from all over the world, including many from North America and Europe. However, they’ll mostly be men. When you encounter women's profiles, they're usually bots. If they aren't, they tend to exit immediately or be transgender, which significantly limits the type of people you can meet. And if you try to use the gender filter to find only girls, it will still match you with guys.
Skibbel considers itself a mobile app first and foremost. You can see this in the responsive design, the clean, simple interface, and even the fact that most of the marketing material refers to an “app” rather than a website or service.
You cannot register on Skibbel. There are no profiles or accounts, save for whatever information is collected and stored based on the information you provide, like your identifying information and what you're looking for in a chat partner. This information can be deleted from the site at any time.
There are no pricing options on Skibbel. The site is entirely free to use. Of course, this means that the user is the product, which will become clear when you’re bombarded by ads when entering the roulette wheel.
Payment methods are not available on Skibbel, as the site does not charge its users for the service.
There is no customer loyalty program on Skibbel.
No premium membership plans are available on Skibble, as this is a free sexting app.
There is limited customer support on this sex chat platform. You won't find an FAQ, contact options, or a support section. Most of this isn't necessary anyway, as the site doesn't rely on recurring memberships. There is a button to report users, which is uncommon, but it didn’t work for me, so it may be a placeholder for an upcoming feature.
When I review cam sites, I look at the models, the design, pricing, and unique features. For the ideal model ratings, I like to see a good variety of people from different backgrounds, locations, and sexual interests. The pricing should be affordable or in line with similar services, and multiple payment methods are always a plus.
As for the site's design and unique features, some of my review process is verifying that it's possible to navigate easily and find people I want to meet. Unique features could be anything, so long as they're uncommon or only available on the site I'm reviewing. They're what sets the service apart from the competition.
Final ThoughtsI want to like Skibbel. It has a good blend of features, and its privacy and anonymity are big selling points. But if the only people I can meet are guys who would rather be talking with women, it's hard to see any lasting appeal. And the number of ads on the site is excessive. Banner ads hide your chat partner's information and other site elements. There are ads masquerading as users and occasional pop-ups if you spend enough time on the site.
